Creativity
is the key to a memorable portrait, as well as having the latest
and greatest "state-of-the-art" equipment. I’ll
explain more in the "About" section from the main menu.
You
have heard it before and I will say it again, "A picture
is worth a thousand words.” The reasons of having a professional
take your portrait are equally as numerous.
Sure,
a friend or family member can pick up a camera, snap your picture,
and there you have it, a "portrait", or do you really?
When
a picture is taken by someone that is NOT familiar with proper
exposure, compositions, and the importance of lighting ratios,
you will notice each photograph tends to have similarity in tone
and mood.
Over
the years I have studied many different types of photography.
From coursework to formal schooling I have gained substantial
experience in the field. Trial and error has also helped me understand
how critical it is to know how lighting affects the mood of your
composition as well as exposure.
You
see a beautiful sunset that puts you in a peaceful mood, you want
to capture that mood and freeze it in time forever. You grab your
camera, take the picture, and get excited knowing that you can
share this feeling with others. You get your pictures back with
the disappointing results. Your camera did not capture what your
eyes saw, therefore, the mood is lost and that breath taking scene
becomes a faded memory.
There
are many situations where the camera needs to be manually adjusted
so that the camera sees what you see and therefore, a properly
exposed photograph has been accomplished. I can do this for you
and more! All you need is your imagination and the ability to
explain to me what you want, and what you want to feel each time
you see your portrait (and/or any picture you desire). You explain
the mood; I will bring it all to life.
I take the art of freezing time seriously. I want you happy and
satisfied. I have the equipment that allows you to view your picture
immediately after you hear the click of my camera.
My
studio lighting equipment is portable, which means I can also
come to you, and your home becomes, “The portrait studio.”
If you prefer the great outdoors, and want your pictures with
natures beautiful lighting, (Sunset, Sunrise, Candle light, you
name it,) I can capture it just the way your eyes see it.
There’s more…
Have
you heard of chroma green screen technology? It is used in the
“Motion Pictures Feature Films.”
This
large florescent green sheet material (“Green Screen”)
is placed 6 to 8 feet behind you/family and dog(s) etc. and I
take your picture. I process your pictures in my computer systems
special software, the green screen is eliminated and whatever
background you want from my endless list of choices, can be put
in its place.
